Responsible for;
- Obtaining assurance from management that all financial and non-financial internal control and risk management functions are operating effectively and reliably.
- Providing an independent review of the Board’s reporting functions to ensure the integrity of financial reports.
- Monitoring the effectiveness of the Board’s performance management and performance information.
- Providing strong and effective oversight of the Board’s internal audit function.
- Providing effective liaison and facilitating communication between management and external audit.
- Providing oversight of the implementation of accepted audit recommendations.
- Ensuring the Board effectively monitors compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements and promotes a culture committed to lawful and ethical behavior.
- Carrying out HR audits together with the HR division

- Liaising with other divisions on compliance with the law in the performance of their functions
- Handling all matters about court cases arising from Board operations
- Advising the Board on compliance with laws and statutes that are currently in force
- Coordinating capacity building in research and knowledge management
- Monitoring of implementation of national Values and principles of governance
- Conducting baseline surveys.
