David Ochola Bio

Eng. David Ochola is an Electrical and Electronics Engineer with experience both in the corporate and private sectors, including eight years with Kenya Power and Lighting Company, where he served diligently as a SCADA and Power Systems Engineer based at the grid national control center. Prior to his appointment as the chairperson of the Board, Ochola worked with Lake Turkana Wind Power in Marsabit County, supervising the installation of 310 MW of clean wind power to the Kenyan grid. He has also worked with Frontier Energy Denmark, where he served for five (5) years as the Plant Manager for the grid-tied 96 MW Radiant and Eldosol Solar PV plant in Western Kenya. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise in management and problem-solving to the table. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Nairobi, M.A. in Project Planning and Management and MSc in Renewable Energy studies from Moi University. He is also a registered member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) and the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK)
