Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Examine financial records focusing on high risk areas and report on non-conformity
Conduct special investigations and surveillance on incidents or reported cases in their sectors to confirm evidence and recommend and establish internal controls and procedures for new units in their sectors
Ascertain adherence to set internal controls and systems and report deviation
Prepare internal audit reports independently and objectively for subsequent decision making
Carry out audit tests on internal controls in accounting, administration and operational procedures
Ensure that all working papers are documented and well referenced by ensuring that the audit file is complete and well referenced.
Audit projects in the county and reporting on the same
Performing any other duty as may be delegate from time to time.
Requirements for Appointments
Be a Kenyan Citizen
Bachelor’s Degree in in Commerce (Finance or Accounting), Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or its relevant field
County Public Accountant part III or CISA or its acceptable equivalent
