Job Description
Permanent/Contract
Duties and responsibilities:
- Admission of bodies to mortuary;
- Documenting and recording data; identifying medico-legal cases;
- Preparing bodies for burial including embalming; reconstructing bodies;
- Body cleaning and dressing; beautification-shaving, cosmetic/make-ups and plaiting;
- Assisting pathologist in Autopsy/post-mortems; guiding students on attachments/visits;
- Harvesting of body organs, fingerprints, fluids and specimens for forensic study; and removing foreign implants in the body.
Requirements for Appointment
- Be a Kenyan citizen
- Certificate in Mortician Course lasting not less than six (6) months from a recognized institution;
- Certificate in computer application skills; and
- shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
