Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare Local Physical and Land Use Development Plans (LP&LUDP), ensuring consistency with the Integrated Urban Development Plan and higher-order plans
Process development applications (change of use, subdivision, building plan reviews) against zoning/pian provisions and standards
Coordinate public participation (notices, disclosure, records) and inter-agency circulation
Draft enforcement recommendations for non-compliant developments for seniors’ action
Performing any other duty as may be delegate from time to time.
Requirements for Appointment
Be a Kenyan Citizen
Bachelor's Degree in any of the following disciplines: Urban and Regional Planning, Physical Planning, Spatial Planning, or equivalent from a recognized institution
Proficiency in computer applications including GIS software, AutoCAD, Sketchlip, and planning software
Membership to any recognized professional body-KIP,AAK (TPC),TCPAK
Exposure to urban plan writing, zoning and standards application, development control, stakeholder facilitation, GIS
